Summary of Presentation:
Cardiovascular disease is no longer a disease for older people and it remains the most common cause of death in Ireland. Approximately 10,000 people die each year from cardiovascular disease. By 2020, the number of people living with CVD is set to increase by 20% but thankfully 80% of risk factors are modifiable. The Irish Heart Foundation are leading the fight against heart disease and stroke and we will explore practical ways to develop a healthy workplace with the Well@Work programme of services.
