The Irish OSH data iceberg
Summary of Presentation:
At national level work-related data is often collected routinely and/or following work-related injuries and illnesses. In this session Anne will describe the Irish OSH data iceberg, exploring and speculating on the contents of the tip and submerged portions of the iceberg in different contexts.
Anne is an academic working in University College Dublin and holds the roles of Director of the UCD Centre for Safety and Health at Work and UCD Head of Subject in Occupational Safety and Health. She has overseen the education of nearly 9,000 graduates in part-time programmes for working adult OSH professionals. She has a longstanding interest in the potential of existing data as a source of information on OSH issues and the gaps in that data.
